How warm do the towels get in the Brookstone warmer? Do they get as toasty warm as the blankets they give you at the hospital? (Which I have priced, btw, they are extremely expensive).

When my wife bought mine, she paid around 90 - 100.00. If was a gift to me so I didn't aske too many questions.
Those at the hospitals are really warm due to the fact that they cost you around $632.00 each. But they hide that in your bill so you won't notice.

I also have the one from Brookestone but it had started to malfunction and immediately turn off while it was coming up to temperature. Below are a couple of pics of the one I built.

Nice job ntmad8tr!
Good thing about that style is that during the summer when you don't need your towels warmed, you can put a Boston Butt on there and smoke it while you soak. Throw some hickory chips in there and you're good to go.

And it would probably do just fine, I made the mistake of having both those lamps on when I first used it and they pretty much burnt a towel. I now have one on and the other is just a spare for when the bulb goes out in the other.......
