hello everyone first time poster,I am shopping for my first tub and have narrowed my choices to 2 brands since they are local to my house hotsprings or dimension 1 ,any advice would be appreciated

Both good brands. Sit in them and see which fits your butt and wallet best.

Well said, let the wet test be your guide. Also, factor in your confidence in the dealers for their after sale support. How long have they been in the spa business, how long with this brand, do they service their own, do they seem like they'll be there for you after the sale is through...
