Purchased Hawkeye Jupiter Hot Tub
« on: June 11, 2013, 12:18:10 pm »
I wish I would have found this site last week.

My wife called me up over the weekend because she was at the Hot Tube Expo in Pittsburgh because she thought she was getting a deal on the Hawkeye Jupiter  www.hawkeyespas.com/pdf/jupiter-flyer.pdf

I've read on here people's complaints about the delivery time but I was pleased with the delivery time because I bought it on Saturday and it was delivered this morning.

I did some research on my iPhone when I got to the Expo and noticed that the MSRP for the Jupiter is $10,699.  I realize that there are large margins on these tubs, what would be considered a good deal?

Jim,
Thanks for the prompt reply.  I feel better about my purchase because I got it for $4,990.00.

My patio isn't being completed until July 1st and I'm chomping at the bit to use my hot tub, that is sitting in my garage.  Since I have a TV in my garage and the laundry room is right inside the garage, would it be an issue using the 50amp 220 outlet from the Dryer to temporarily use my tub?

Hawkeye is out of business!  The (804) 231-7727 number is never answered.  I did some digging on the web and found a press release that said that the owner David Shoaf died, and the company went with him.  It looks like some other company ended up with some of the assets.  Here is a link to the press release.
