HOTSPRINGS LANDMARK 1996 WHAT SUBPANEL TO USE?
« on: June 18, 2011, 11:32:09 am »
???calls for a 50 amp single phase 230 volt four wire service,2-line,1-neutuarl,1-ground.have found the one at spa depot but they what like $300.00.saw one at home depot for $50.00 a ge ug412rmw250p.dont know if this one would work.if anyone has hooked one of these tubs up can you tell me what subpanel
you used.or if there is a cheaper way to do it?have seen some people say they just used a a/c subpanel instead.but this one says you need a 20 a 230 volt gfi breaker,& a 30a 230v breaker in subpanel.also can i use any type of 8 awg thhn wire to run wire from house breaker box to subpanel outside?one last thing we willl not be using in winter plus wife does not like the water hot, so she would like to use like pool in summer with no heat just to seat in & cool off.could i just hook up pump & not heater & just use one breaker in subpanel?sorry for the long post.

thaks for all the help a head of time.
