Hi eveyone...newbie's buying a VITA Spa
« on: February 27, 2011, 05:32:57 pm »
We are looking at a 2009 Vita Duet hot tub. It’s in great condition and runs great. The only thing that we could see wrong was the head rest/ spa pillows (black in color solid rubber) had what look to be mildew on them. I scraped one of them with my fingernail and it would not come off.  So I have a few questions.

1.   Is vita a good spa?
2.   The guy was asking $2400.00 I talked him down to $1700.00. I that a good price. He said he paid $3800.00 18 months ago.
3.   How can I get the mildew off the pillows??

Welcome to the forum,

I've seen a couple of Vita spas at fairs, seem ok, not heard anything bad. It sounds like you got a good price on it. Let us know how it goes for you.

We are picking it up at noon today. I'll let you know how things go later in the week.

And Thank you for the "welcome"

As for the mildew, is it black? I've used Clorox wipes to get that kind of mildew off the tub surface.  I've seen where rubber pillows sometimes degrade under them and it looks like mildew.  I've also had good luck with Mr. Clean magic erasers on tub surfaces.
