J-470 Electric
« on: May 11, 2010, 05:56:41 am »
Ordered up a J 470 and running electric line out to a new patio yet to be installed.  Do I have to be dead on with where my electric comes up through the paver patio for the hookup?  Or is there some tolerance under the tub where the electric line hooks up?  I guess my question is, does the tub have an open bottom?  Or just a small hole for the electric?

TIA

Coming up underneath the spa in the 400 series you better be dead on, not much of room in there.  If you know where the spa will sit you can measure and place the conduit to either the left or right of the control panel side of the spa, there is a 1"1/4 whole in each corner of the front of the spa, about 4" off the ground and 3" or so back from the corner of the ABS pan.

I came up on the side corner or my J-370 the many, many years back to preserve the solid plastic base and then bring the wiring in.

Thanks for the replies.  JJ is there a schematic on line?  Sounds like the hole isn't right underneath the tub, but more to the side up off the bottom.  I know right where it is going, so should be able to bring the grey PVC right up next to the corner.
