The burn season is here
« on: September 21, 2005, 08:02:55 pm »
In addition to selling Coleman and Jacuzzi spas, I also sell 5 different brands of fireplaces and stoves. The burn season started early this year and has been crazy busy so far.

People are really very concerned with the cost of heating their houses, the supply of fuel, the early predictions of a bad winter, as well as having back up heat during extended power outages.

I haven't had this much wood stove action since Y2K. With every hurricane the price of a barrel of oil goes up and many people are at almost the same level of panic I saw with Y2K.

Hottubs are so much more fun to sell, but hey I'm not complaining. ;) I miss the forum, I manage to check in from time to time and have discovered that I don't even know most of the posters anymore. :'(

I hope you old standbys are still around giving great advice to the newby's.

Do you sell any of the LOPI products?
If you've heard of them, any opinion one way or another?

LOPI products ( I'm thinking) were sold by Travis Industries.
I sold Avalon which were also manufactured by Travis.

Have you been thinking about heat this year Brewman?

Actually, I thought about heat last winter.  I finished my basement, and knew the forced air furnace in our house wouldn't work well to heat the basement, so I installed a gas stove.  Not a fireplace, but a free standing franklin style stove.
The brand I chose was Lopi.  It seems like a good unit, and came highly recommended by our local fireplace guy.

Just curious what other people think of the brand who don't have an interest in selling me.

Thanks for asking.
