Fantastic soak under the meteors!
« on: August 12, 2008, 01:44:59 pm »
I lucked out last night as I completely forgot about the meteor shower.  What an amazing sight.  Can't wait to do it again tonight!

If you get a chance, go sit in your tub and be amazed!

Can you see it from anywhere (provided it's a clear night)?  What time?

Meteors are very dangerous!  Remember the movie Armageddon?  You should remain indoors during this time to escape possible death or worse:

I say... take your chances  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Perseid meteor shower peaks on Aug 12. There still might be some tonight though. From what I read it starts in the Northeast sky around 11pm. "After the first-quarter moon sets, around 2 a.m., meteors should be more easily visible until dawn. You may see dozens of meteors per hour."

We may have missed it  :(

WHat time were you out?  We were cloudy this year and I did't feel like staying up late.
