Does anyone know anything about Catalina Spas? Can't really find much on the internet. Looking at their CL900.

We had a local Catalina dealer and I took a look. They rely HEAVILY on flash and number of jets without any real quality. VERY expensive tubs and personally, I feel there is far greater spas available for less money.

The CL900 is a basic model for them (which is fine) but imo, that mold is extremely old and offers very little variety in seating positions. The 4 corner seats will feel very similar while the seats in between are very upright and offer no comfort or therapy...

I just think you could make a better choice. Any idea the price of that spa?

The guy I just talked to said delivered to our backyard for $6000.00 in 3-31/2 weeks. :-?

Ask to see the warrenty papers. Catilina is a bear to deal with on warrenty, read the fine print.

The Catalina warranty is different in that it is prorated which can be a surprise to Catalina owners down the line if the dealer fails to disclose that up front so checking over the warranty (of any spa) is always wise.

As everyone preaches here wet test as many spas as you can and then make a decision. We wet tested 10 before making our decision. Some of the spa we tested were so shallow that the neck jets hit my lower shoulder blades. Fit and proper jet placement is very important so before spending $6000 I would take your spa for a test drive.

If your budget is $6,000 you can find more spas in that price range.

Thank you for all of the replies. I think we're gonna go with the Hot Spring Prodigy. The Catalina sales people just remind me of a used car sales people.

Hey I'm glad you were able to get the help you needed. You will be much happier with the Hotsprings.

Take a look at the Tiger River Bengal if your dealer has one. Thats a real nice spa to look at as well.

if you decide to go with the Hot Spring Prodigy you won't be sorry, we have a 1996 Prodigy and love it. Good luck with whatever you choose, and enjoy.
