Astronomical soak!

At 10:26 EST tomorrow night, most of the US will see a total lunar eclipse. The tub seems like a great place to watch it!

Tonight's weather was just about PERFECT for a soak - 30ish, no wind, tub at a perfect 102. If it's like that tomorrow night, I just might have the best soak ever...

The tub is on the wrong side of the house for me    But all I have to do is look out my front door,  so its not too bad.

cloudy today - predicted cloudy tomorrow.

If it looks like clouds again tomorrow we may drive up into the hills to get above it all and see what we can see.

Clear skies in Ohio in Feb are pretty rare, but here is hoping. We had a clear no wind 14F last night, so the tub was at 104.

Cloudy and snow tonight on the north coast

We have around 2" of new fluffy snow today here in the landlocked part of the state.  There is a chance we will get a short lived clearing tonight, so if so, I'll turn the tub down to 102, and stay out for the whole thing.

Forecast here is clear- good eclipse viewing, but also COLD!
 Probably be somewhere around -15F this evening.  Hopefully not windy.

Temps should be in the low 20's, but it may be a little cloudy.  Will give it a look though.

It's gonna be iffy for us. I'll keep my camera by my side while in the spa, just in case it clears.

Another nice thing if you have a telescope is that Saturn is right near the moon.

Well, we have clouds coming and going. We got to watch as the shadow moved across most of the disc of the moon, but we haven't seen any red or orange thanks to the clouds. We'll keep watching, but we put away the scope.

Fabulous viewing here in the NE.  Crystal clear and cool.

Cleared up! We are enjoying the view now as the moon comes back. (Penumbra).

We didn't get to see much red/orange, but it sure is nice right now. We are actually looking at it through a hole in the clouds.
