Magic Eraser removes crud from scratches
« on: January 07, 2008, 12:15:41 pm »
Drain and refill here, in balmy MN today!  I have a few light scratches in my shell due to the plastic on some seat boosters and whatever else the kids drag in....

You can see them when "stuff" collects in them, and even shocking didn't bleach them out.  I have heard you all talk about using the Magic Eraser, so I finally tried it today.   I used the generic Target version.  It removed the slight stain at the water line and took the "stuff" out of the scratches!!

The birds and squirrels are enjoying the warm draining water, and this will get me through until March--wahoo!!  :)

Magic Erasers are great.  I use it weekly to clean the waterline when I shock my tub.

Wouldn't that add chemicals to your water?  I thought the magic erasers had cleaning agents in them? :-?

If you just buy the plain Magic Eraser there are no chemicals in them at all.  It is just a sponge.

There are versions of the Magic Eraser that have cleaning agents in them.  I don't use those.

Where can you find them?  What store?  What department (or aisle)?

Ilse 10, half way up, next to the toilet bowl cleaner. ::)

Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Walgreens, CVS,........

They should be located in the cleaning supplies isle.

Very funny. I hear Billy Barty uses them to scrub down his face after his fights. My wife swears by the Magic Eraser. She yells at me when I bring them into the tub. They work great on my pearl finish....
