do young hard bodies increase hot tub sales?  Or do they make guys feel good about their aging manhood?  It is like the radio promotion crowd, are they stopping by to look at and buy your products or just there for the free teeshirts.  If bikinis increase sales i will rethink my marketing.

I've related this many times on the forum...our use of hydrotherapy technicians came about whilst I had a tent set up at the county fair.  One of my customers wanted to come sit in the spas and "help" me sell them.

This lady is similiar to Forrest Gump in her demeanor and reasoning capacity.  She is sweet natured, but not exactly svelte at 5'6" and 240 lbs (though she loudly proclaims to passing shoppers that "people tell me I don't look a ounce over 220!").  She wore a bathing suit reminescent of a style that was popular in the 1940's which, thankfully, left a lot to the imagination if one were so inclined to ponder such thoughts.

As I sat in the back and watched her interact with shoppers, I noticed how folks naturally gravitated towards her, asking questions about the jets, the seats, the comfort of the water, etc.  It provoked a thought: What if I actually had a lucid, aesthetically pleasing, confident, verbose young lady in the spa that could present our products in a more substantial fashion?

Shoppers, men as well as women, thoroughly enjoy visiting with the young ladies.  I have received nothing but positive feedback from consumers.  We also encourage and allow ANYONE that wants to hop in the spa to do so.  That is our goal, to get people to try our products.  The HT's help facillitate this.

Asta, are you a LEO? If so it sounds like you can carry what you want? My wife is a LEO, and her dept. was carrying Sig 228's, looked into .45 but most of the women didn't like the grip size, so they went with Sig 229's (.40).

I'm not certain how a nice little thread on Hydro therapy techincians got flipped into an all out "my weapons are bigger than yours debate" but in an effort to return it to the "correct" focus of the thread, Hydro techs, I'll add my .02 cents (like anyone really cares anyway ...said in the tone of eyore from winnie the pooh fame)...

When I was considering starting my own HT storefront, I asked the local Hooters girls (pretty much right across the street form my targeted location) if they would "consider" being HT techs for me and my prospective manager (45 year old divorced good looking guy) and without ANY hesitation AT ALL, they were all VERY interested (maybe it's the company I keep?).  In any case, the compensation we discussed for the day or two of "representation" was only a bit more than they would have gotten from a day workign at Hooters (i.e. less than I use to spend at a strip club in one night with my buddies 10 years ago when I still went).  But I digress, the point is that the ladies are already use to being "appreciated" for their assets.  The ladies I spoke with are all 21 or older and more than able to handle themselves.  I pretty much assumed that was the same with the girls in these photos (all old enough to die for their country in battle and more than old enough to make their own decisions).  But I digress, AGAIN!  Arggh!

Point is, they can represent a great product.  Have the ability to make a commission if one of the patrons actually buys a tub and tells the "full time salesman/manager" or me (owner) that the Technician was of help (it decreases the salesman's commission but not by much).  If they want to discuss ANYTHING else, that's up to them off store time.  100% professional while they are on property and not allowed to discuss Hooters or any other businesses they might be involved in at the time that is unrelated to the Hot Tub business (i.e. they can't wear a bikini advertising the World Poker Tour or Pontiac (one was a Pontiac model) or Budwiser...on second thought...
...The gene pool could use a little chlorine....

Quickly approaching a mid-life crisis one day at a time.

Well, those techs would look good holding guns, too.  Especially the one in the blue & yellow!  ;)
