Same here.  A friend bought one and it looks good. I'll also go with the double wrap.  My 2nd cover in 5 years ia starting to get a bit heavy.

2 pound density foam will only increase the R value by 1 (one). The biggest advantages are more strength (30% more) for snow load, and the denser foam is less susceptible to water absorption.

That double wrap would totally be worth it if it kept water absortion at bay a few extra years.  My cover is in excellent physical condition, it just weighs a ton cause it's soaked up all that water.

Personally, I think the double wrap is enough, but I"m lazy and don't want to lift a cover that weighs 25%-30% more.

Sorry, I never saw the order. Most likely it came in during a time I wasn't here (I'm currently telecommuting / compucommuting quite a bit these days)

My cover is 4 years old. The top looks it but inside it looks brand new and there has been zero water absorption. I expect my cover to last at least 2 more years.

I have a good quality floating blanket.
