Our 10  month old can float like that.  I set my Shiner Bock oh his belly and he just kinda lollies around in the spa.  He's a big boy and we can get a whole 6 pack on him at once.  At first, he would roll over and try to swim but he kept spilling my beer.   A couple of good beatings was all it took to cure him of that, and now he just stays as still as still can be, doesn't even whimper anymore.  Kids are great, especially when they can be used as home furnishings.

I hate it when my dog opens the door so the kids can walk out to the pool.

I always did think it was a good idea to replace good, responsible parenting with swimming lessons.  Now if they only had a program to teach my kids to stay off the road when chasing a ball................ :)     That is freakin' amazing though; pretty cool.
