Anyone hear of Elite Spas by Maxx?
« on: March 01, 2007, 10:08:03 am »
Howdy,
I posted yesterday about a Sundance spa for my father in PEI, Canada.  It looks like we may need a tub sooner than shipping from Ontario would allow.

There is a Elite Spas by Maxx dealer on PEI.  http://www.elitespasbymaax.com  Any info about these tubs would be great, or of ANY hot tub dealer on or near PEI.

Thanks,
John  8-)

Same company as Coleman, for 2007 most of the parts are interchangeable between the ELITE series, The Colemans and the NAHANNI (read home depot) Spas.

Thanks for the info.

I have been searching around all morning and found a dealer on PEI that sells Marquis (checked out Reward model), and Crystal Water spas.

After searching this site it appears Marquis makes a nice spa.  What are your opinions of these brands?

Thanks,
John  8-)

Have you or your dad ever looked at Arctic Spas. They are manufacured in Canada, and make a very nice hot tub. They may be worth taking a look at as there may be a dealer located near you. Good luck in your shopping for hot tubs.

Hubjeep,

Two friends of ours have Elite spas,  both love them!  One couple has had no problems at all in three years of ownership, the others had to replace their pump motor but their tub is about 7 years old.  Elite spas are fairly popular in our area because the local Hot Springs dealer has them as a second line and sells a lot of them.  From what I hear their are a decent tub, however they seem to be a little more expensive to run.  This winter our tub has only added about $20-$25 to our electric bill while our friends claim about $35 a month

As a US dealer of Elite spas I have to say that getting repair parts is out of control!

We have to call Canada to order out of Arizona and then if we are lucky enough to get the correct part it will come in 2 to 3 weeks later. Over 1/3 of the time the parts are wrong! Often when they look up a serial # it is for the wrong customer and we get a lot of attitude from the Canadian customer service people.

The spas opperate fine and look great...the after service is what is lacking
