Robes, suits or nada?
« on: December 12, 2006, 11:31:51 pm »
I'm curious what people wear on the walk out to the tub, and if anyone has some good recommendations.  In warmer times, it's just my towel for me, but now that it's getting colder that walk is a *lot* harder to do unclothed.  I asked for some fluffy terrycloth robes with hoods for Christmas as I think they'd be ideal, but they are fairly pricey, especially for heavier weight ones.  http://www.thirstytowels.com/Catalog/Bathrobes/Hooded_Bathrobe_Luxury_Line.htm

Suggestions?

You can get nice, warm robes at places like Dillards, JC Penney, etc for ~$50.

How long is your walk to the tub?

My dealer has real nice heavy weight robes 2 for $60.00.  I personally wear one to take the cover off and put it back on, but run to and from the tub with only my trunks on.  That is unless I am feeling risque in which case I run to an from in the buff........

Nada.. unless super cold then the towel 1/2 way.  I had to move the towel rack.  Lighting one time while in the tub made me feel a bit uncomfortable having a metal towel rack right next to it.

I bought nice heavy robes, and now have a second set compliments of Arctic. They are so thick! I use one all the time, especially with the "cold" weather (ie, less than 55 deg!!)

Sweats and a sweatshirt. This way I can slip off the sweat pants and walk into the tub then take of the sweatshirt.

Nada.  Since I am usually in the tub by myself I wear nothing.  I positioned the tub on my deck off of the bedroom and knocked a hole in the wall and built a door.  All I do is open the door, take two steps and I'm in.

I go just my suit- even in winter. I take a towel down with me, but don't use it on the way out to the spa.

Mrs. B. uses a robe both going to the spa and returning.

Go out with the towel wrapped around me.  Drop the towel.  Enter tub.  Exit tub, grab towel, dash to house.  Grab warmed robe out of dryer......AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

(PS....let hubby deal with closing the tub).
