Skin probs and Eco-one
« on: September 24, 2005, 06:07:31 am »
HI......I bought a new hot tub January this year and useing bromine tabs and ozone. My wife suddenly can not use the tub due to skin irratation, rash, small pimples, itching. Everyone else useing it is fine. I have a taylor K-2005 test kit and keep the water perfect. Would useing Eco-one help with this problem? Do I need to clear out the water and start afresh or just add the water treatment? Its an expensive monthly cost but I will bite the bullet and pay if it would help. Thanks...Trevor

Did you try to switch to chlorine - dichlor?

From what I've read, people with reactions to bromine sometimes do better with chlorine.

I have never used it but from what I've read, there are many who swear by Eco One or The Natural, another popular enzyme bacteriacide.  One thing to remember...for it to be an effective sanitizer, you must use a little dichlor.  Contrary to what many will claim, without this you may have clear water, but not sanitized water.

Bosmani,

You should be drinking Guinness, that's about all I had time for in Dublin.
