God Help Me...

Hi All:

OK, so here's the deal. Two of my friends, "J" and "S" (regular readers of this forum have seen pictures of "S" in my tub) have just sold their house, less than 1/2 mile from me. Unfortunately, he also lost his job. On the bright side, they cleared GOOD $ from the sale.

They've decided to move to a rural area of Tennessee near his parents and buy a house. Apparently, property is much cheaper there so they are planning on paying cash (!) for their new home.

BUT, he needs to find a new job down there and the kids (4 of them: 11, 9, 5 and 3 -- the older are girls, the younger both boys) with mom ("S") are staying back here 'till things get settled and school ends.  SO, guess who she asked to move in with for "about a month?"

Did I mention she works nights from 6 PM to 6 AM, Mon through Thu?

I just changed the water in my tub today.  BTW, both the girls are "hot tub fanatics," and the boys are learning.

I'll update with pictures and tales of woe concerning water chemistry...

God help me...

:P

P.S.:  Of COURSE I didn't say No! Yo, WSD, smack me dude, smack me....
It's a HOT tub... anything else is just a POOL!

I had to supress most of my initial replies.  All of these people have been in your tub before right?  They shoudl know the law about suits, guests, lotions, and what not, but as the generous benefactor, laying down the law shouldn't be too hard.

Yeah, RIGHT!

It's the boys I worry about. That 3 year old is a TERROR!

All of my single friends are scared to death of what my little boy will do, and he hasn't even hit two yet!

I feel for you Drew......... A number of years ago my closest friend was really down on his luck. Lost his job and got evicted from his house.

1 wife, 4 daughters, and a 4 bedroom house worth of furniture all piled into my place.

I live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, single car garage house.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Good for you. Always extend a hand to friends in need as someday it may be your hand that is empty.
