Life of Filters
« on: January 08, 2005, 11:36:25 am »
My Beachcomber uses a single filter.  I have two which I alternate monthly - cleaning the used one with a Cartridge Cleaner.  They are now almost two years old but both look good.  The plastic is somewhat discoloured but the filter elements are still quite white and not torn. How do I know when it is time to replace them?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey ssmtim!

Cartridge filters often get fuzzy when they need to be replaced. At 2 years, I often suggest to replace them anyway.

At $30 or $35 a piece, it sure makes it affordable to do this every couple of years.

I agree with Steve!!  I would recommend replacing them as well.
