were are having the j-365 . in 2 weeks   i have a question
they want $700.00 to hook up the electric is this too much. or a deal or should i look for a diffrent electrician

Alot depends on how far the run is, are they putting in the GFI, are they adding on to the existing breaker box?  Also is this the only quote you got?  I would get at least 2.

Getting a couple more bids isn't a bad idea, at least you'd know if your bid was reasonable or not.
With the information you provided, it's not possible to say if your estimate is reasonable or not, but if you get more bids and they are all similar, you're probably getting a fair quote.

Factors which affect the cost of a wiring job:

Distance
Amperage of the load
Sub panel, shut off or straight, uninterupted run
Customer's attitude
Do you want the entire job to be invisible?
Attic or crawlspace access.
Basement
Going under walkways
Cutting cement
Distance
Upgrading the main panel
Who does the trenching, if needed.
Can they fit it in with other jobs (Work a few hours here and there etc.)
Is the electrician a one-man show or does he have a dozen trucks on the road?
