Looks good! It really wouldn't be hard to run that in hard conduit around the backside. It's as easy shutting down the main breaker, piecing together the conduit and running the wire as you go. From the looks of it you would have 4 bends, which is what is allowed by code.

When you say hard conduit do you mean like PVC pipe?

Yes, you can buy it in sticks and glue it. It slips together fairly easy and the guys at home depot can probably advise you to what parts you need (remember they were probably electricians that got fired) ;Dif you can find someone in the electrical dept. It might be worth your while to go to an electrical supply house for the parts and advise.

OK but would you consider the flexi metal stuff hard or not?  Because from what I can gather the stuff I have is a coated flexi metal conduit.  You can't crush it by walking on it, etc.  And other than the stubbed toe and the well, not looking too cool factors is there anything wrong with my current setup - in you opinion.?
