Pump one concern
« on: July 02, 2017, 07:26:42 pm »
Its been a while since I've posted here, and we still love our Jacuzzi.

As part of my regular maintenance, I cleaned the filters today and put them back in.
I did all the usual stuff.  - shut off the power source when I pulled the filters, kept any possible debris away from filter area, and rinsed filters thoroughly after using cartridge clean solution.

Pump one and two both worked when I turned it back on, but after one cycle, pump one stopped working entirely, as if it were shut off.
I could hear a click when I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't engage.

Thoughts I'm having about the situation:
  • Conditions here are hot - Think high desert. Could the pump be over heated?
It could be possible that a tiny piece of debris got into the filter area, which I didn't notice?

Model: Jacuzzi J-335 (2008 or 2009?)

I would happily contact my dealer about this but he's closed until the 5th.
Any trouble shooting would be great.  Thanks.

My guess is heat, kill the power for a couple of hours then try it.

Thanks Jacuzzi Jim.
It seems that it was a heat issue.  Once the temps cooled down and the pump sat idle, all was well.

I'm thinking this is something to keep an eye on going forward.
