You should check the voltage to the heater and confirm it's getting 220v. If so then it's most likely a bad element or maybe in an economy mode and only heating during a filter cycle. If it's not getting power you need to find out why not.
Bad board, temp sensor or pressure switch possibly something else . Any error codes on the display?
