How do I get my temp to 105?
« on: January 18, 2015, 07:13:17 pm »
I recently purchased a Hot Springs Limelight Flair.  When the tech came out he told me that 104 was the max temp but if for some reason I wanted it just a little hotter I could do a little trick or hold a few buttons down to increase the temp to 105 or the max of 106.  I don't want 106 but I would like to see what 105 feels like.  I notice that with my temp set at 104 it's hot for the first few minutes and then it seems very comfortable after that.  I would just be curious to see how 105 feels.  I like it a little on the hotter side.

Any suggestions.  Thanks.

All I had to do on mine was press and hold the temp up (ON) button for maybe 5 seconds. Did it again and it went up to 106, but the "F" in the temp display flashed. Not sure what that means.

Here's a link where I got the info from. http://www.whatsthebest-hottub.com/forum/index.php?topic=14574.0

I gave this a try last night and it jumped to 105 and then to 106 with the flashing "F"

I haven't checked yet this morning whether or not the temp held at 105 or 106 but I'm guessing it did.

Do you see any potential problems but keeping the water in the 105 to 106 temp range?  I didn't read anywhere in the manual where it said this could cause problems.  I just like the way the water feels when it's a little hotter.  Did you keep your temp high or bump it back down to 104?  Thanks.

One down side is more energy used. Cost more.

So far I'm keeping my tub at 103...and for a week or so at 104.  Started out at 101 when I got it in October, but that temp was too cool for me when the outdoor temp is sub zero.

I tried the 104 override this afternoon, and set to 105. Checked the temp after a few hours, and even though I set 105 as the temp, the tub display read 106. Checked again an hour later and still read 106 even though 105 is the set temp.

My steps are frozen in place in front of the access panel, so I can't check what jumpers are set in the control box. The display doesn't read ue-1, ue-2 etc, like the link I posted above says it should when overriding the 104 temp. Maybe things have changed since then.
