Chemical questions
« on: December 09, 2014, 09:27:45 pm »
We have had our Nordic Retreat 280 gallon hot tub for one week! This is my first posting. Supposed to add the 4:1 clarifier and shock today. The shocking chemical is Potassium monopersulfate.
1. Can the 2 be added at the same time? 2. Do I need to keep the cover off for a while? 3. How long after shocking do we need to wait to get in? .. Thanks to all who help us out.

In my personal opinion, I always keep some space between shocking and balancing.
Keep the cover off for at least one cycle( 20 mins.), jets on full blast. Oxidization should be fully complete within an hour.
Balance your Alk,PH, hardness then add clarifiers and anti stain/scale products, cycle, then enjoy.
