Okay, I'm determined for my first spa to be under $3k just in case it's one-ton boondoogle that sits unused in the yard for a few years and goes in a yard sale for 5% what it cost.
So I got a CalSpa knock off of a Viking spa (4 person round) and a similar size/shape Hot Spot two years old still on the dealer's floor. The Dealer claims it has no warranty becasue the clock started ticking when he took delivery.
I read nothing but horror stories here about Cal Spa. Hot Springs (maker of Hot Spot) has a good reputation.
I'm thinking of rolling the dice on the Hot Spot.
Dealers: would YOU give your own warranty on a Hot Spot if the custmer offered a couple hundred extra at settlement?
