L.A. Spa - first time buyer for 2 person spa
« on: March 20, 2014, 12:41:26 pm »
I'm thinking about buying the Lanai L.A. Spa.  I like the dealer and it looks to be well made.  Anyone have any experience with L.A. Spas?

I sold LA Spas for about 1 1/2 years before leaving the industry.  They make a decent spa.  I am not a fan of the Gecko electronics they use.  Also, you need to clean the AquaKlean filter socks regularly otherwise they will plug up.  Make sure you at least dry test the Lanai as the non-lounger seat is very shallow in my opinion.  As a company, they were decent.

What version of the Lanai are you looking at and what price?

thanks for the tip on the non-lounger seat.  Will check it out.
It's the low end Lanai ES version.  Price = $4,500
I am also now looking at the Aquaterra™ Spas Toscano 17-jet, 3-person Spa at Costco online for $3,000.  Looks like it is built by Watkins who build Hot Springs and others.  Do you know if that is a big box brand just for Costco?  Can't find it elsewhere.

Just figured out that the Aquaterra has the wrong seat layout for my deck.  I need the seat in the 90 degree corner.  So back to LA Spa Lanai.

the aquaterra is just a renamed free flow spa for costco, there are many different branded spas that are all pretty much the same

this...Freeflow/AquaTerra and a couple others...same molds, different names...Just an FYI Nordic also makes a corner unit spa that is fairly deep if that's important to you
