heating
« on: October 31, 2013, 06:54:37 am »
I have a hot spot Sorrento about 6 yrs old. Jets are fine but last few weeks does not seem to get to the temp. I set. Haven't checked with a thermometer but it is set at 103 and it is not near that. Not cold but not hot. also always seems to be circulating at low speed which I have always had issues with. I was never able to figure out how to adjust that.
could the heater be not working properly?
thanks
pat

Hi pat.

I guess climate could have some bearing on it. Where are you located ?
I think the first thing I'd be doing is checking with a thermometer, to see if there is any temperature increase.
Turn it down for 24-48 hours, allow it to cool for a day or two.
Before turning it back up, take a temperature reading, and check again in a few days to see if there is any temperature increase.
I'd say that should you see an increase, there's not problem with the heating element, but maybe some other issue. ?
