Hot Tub is tripping the circuit
« on: June 21, 2013, 01:40:31 am »
My J385 has been installed for at least 6 years and it has an emergency shut-off by the hot tub and is on a separate circuit in the basement.  I used the hot tub just fine last night.  Today there is no power to the hot tub.  I tried shutting it off and on with the emergency shut-off by the hot tub with no success.  I found that the circuit in the basement was tripped.  I reset the circuit a couple times, but it tripped it off after about 5 seconds each time.  What are some suggestions for what to check?

Start with unhooking the ozonator first, see if it trips.  If it does disconnect the circ pump and repeat. It's a process of elimination.  Could be a faulty breaker as well.   I just saw your other post, so unhook pump 2 first and try to power it up, maybe your problem.
