Cleaning filters while hot tub is full
« on: October 29, 2012, 04:58:12 pm »
I've cleaned the main filters on my Jacuzzi 335 without draining the tub, and I've never cleaned the filters in the foot well, even the one time when I had it drained.

Our water is going on 4 months and is still clear, testing well and I'd like to get some more time out of it, but I'd really like to clean the lower filters (for pump #2).

Can I take the Pump #2 filters out while the tub has water in it, or do I need to drain the tub?
They are long over due to be cleaned but those filters seem more intimidating than the others.

Edit:  I did some more digging and found that the filters in the foot well are not actual filters, but instead, they are screens so debris doesn't get sucked in.

It will be fine. Take them off and clean them. As long as there isn't a crap load of debris in there.
