Which one to purchase - some advice would be much appreciated
« on: August 19, 2012, 01:13:53 am »
New to the forum.
Looking at purchasing a new hot tub, but not sure which one to purchase.
I was looking at a dealer that sells Garden Leisure tubs… they only had a few models on the floors, but the one I was interested in would have to be ordered. I have read a few reviews in here regarding the GL, but most of them are from 2005-2008.
I’m trying to get some feedback on the Redwood model or GL862L
http://www.gardenleisurespas.com/Garden%20Leisure%20Spas/G862L.html
They offer 3 years parts/ labor  no mention of warranty on shell

Also looked at another dealer that sells Premium Leisure
I was looking at the Leisure’s Edge line – the LE850
http://www.premiumleisure.com/le850.shtml

And finally the Hotspring – not sure on the model yet, but their prices are bit more… and then the recent recalls on certain models http://www.8newsnow.com/story/18940816/spas-recalled

Basically looking for anyone that owns any of these to give me their personal experience(s)

Thank you

I would hope the Hot Springs is a lot more money that the other 2 as those are value tubs and should be priced at about half of the cost of the Hot Springs. And I dout any other manufacturer could handle the recall the way HS did with a quick and speedy resolution like theirs.

I don't know much about garden leisure but I can tell you that premium leisure is known to make junk.  Obviously hot springs is going to be more. Justified or not they are the dominant name In hot tubs

I would go for the Hotsprings over the other two you mentioned. get the best tub you can afford from a known quality manufacturer. Over the life of the tub you will be alot happier with your purchase. If its your first hot tub and you find you don't really like or use it, at least you will know its not the tubs fault....
