Has anyone used the 303 fabric cleaner?
« on: February 07, 2009, 02:42:21 pm »
I picked up a bottle today and am going to try to clean a stain in my son's car. Being he's 18 YO he's always on the run so I didn't get a chance yet.

But I also am planning on using it to clean the carpet in my wife's car once it get's nice out. We have a Big Green Clean Machine and I was planning on putting it in there. According to the info on their website (and we know self professed info is never misleading  ;D) it should work pretty well.

Just wondering if anyone has used it. I have used the fabric potectorant (kind of like Scotch Guard) and yes some stuff beaded when it was newly put on but I don't think it lasted that long; I don't know how long Scotch Guard would have lasted. Of course most of us have used the 303 vinyl protectorant which is good stuff on our covers.

So has anyone used it?

Vinny, we have a couple of boats at work and we used 303 Cover Cleaner on their covers, the stuff is magic!  It's not cheap but it works real well on outdoor stains and stuff.  FWIW these things are outdoors 365 days a year and are driven in some of the nastiest places you can think of

Thanks for that info In Canada!

I can't stand buying a product that works just OK. The 303 family of products is supposed to be very good. The vinyl protectorant works very well and I've read good things about it's fabric protector ... either I am expecting too much or maybe I didn't apply it correctly. Then again I guess if my wife's car comes out looking great - it did it's job!

If the cover cleaner works great then I would expect the fabric cleaner would work just as well, heck it may be the same stuff! ;) ;D

Thanks again!

Vinny.

We have an awning that covers our back deck and I use the 303 fabric protector on it about once every three years or so.  The fabric manufacturer (Sunbrella) actually specs it in their warranty.  Strange thing is that they don't come out an recommend the fabric cleaner, they call for diluted Woolite
