Getting a little nervous after last night's loss, but we're still up 2-1.  Tonight's game is huge!  Kinda like the bad blood brewing between the two teams.  Who'd have thought that a Phillies phan would be rooting for Davey Lopes over Larry Bowa.  :o

No longer nervous.  :)

Can't wait for game-5 tomorrow night!  Phillies in the World Series?  Can you believe it, Boni?  :o

That was awesome!  :)

My family room TV died.  >:(  Rather than watch the game on our 20" TV in the bedroom, I went out to the local pub to watch it on their large screen HDTVs.  Had an absolute blast!  Of course, I'm paying for it this AM.  But it doesn't hurt to celebrate every 15 years...

Congrats to the Phillies, they beat the 'snot' out of the team that beat the 'snot' out of the Cubbies.

Must admit I'm an American League fan and will be in the World Series unless the Bosox sneak in, then I'll be pulling for the Phils.

A few years ago I had a chance to spend some time in Philly.  I took the 'train' from the 'Paperclip' down to the stadium.  Beautiful ball park and Luzinki's BBQ's were excellent.  He was giving out autographs to anyone who was in line to get a BBQ and surprisingly for a ball park the prices were decent.
Before I speak, I have something important to say--Groucho Marx

OOOHhh Dax, you need to keep celebrating right on over to Circuit City and hook up with a new HDTV for the Series...they are in trouble and have some nice deals..Believe it or not, we watched it on the 23 inch kitchen TV rather than the large screen so we could jump up and down and throw food at each other :o :o. ;D ;D

Forget Circuit City, if you're not gonna use your large screen TV, I'll take it.  :D

Plan to go looking at TVs tonight after work.  I'll most likely have one by next Wed.  Although I sure did have fun watching the game at the pub last night.  8-)

Rays it is!

Was hoping for the RedSox because I would have loved nothing more than to beat them and all their front running fans who have come out of the woodwork the past few years.  Around here they're getting like Dallass Cowboys fans.  No geopraphical reason to root for them, but people do so because they've won a couple championships.

But I'll enjoy beating Tampa Bay too....  8-)

Did you get that big screen Dax?  Baseball is so slow, I can't just sit and watch it..so I will watch the WS in my kitchen..again since I can actually accomplish something while watching. If I sit infront of the big screen, I would go stir crazy watching those guys spit and scratch.. :o ;D ;D

I always root for underdogs and teams that have had a futile past. I'd be rooting for the Cubs if they were around and Philly has not won it since 1980, 28 years ago and that's thier only World Series title since Abe Lincoln was throwing out the first pitch at games so they're certainly due BUT I'm not rooting for them this year. All my love is behind the Rays. This is like Charlie Brown getting to the finals of a spelling bee.

Go Rays!!!!!

Bonnie, can you abuse your moderator priviledges, just this one, and change Spatech's posting to root for the good guys?  ;)

And no, I didn't get a new TV yet... may have to watch it at the local pub again.  The sacrifices one makes to root for his team.  ;D

I understand Spatech's position and I was the same way in the Cubs/Dodgers series and the Rays/Redsox series.  I'm over Boston now that they got the Monkey off their back with a couple of Series wins.  My Indians and Reds were out of it for a long time. I will go in to the series with no favorites just hoping to see something memorable happening, I've had good luck watching games that I had no interest in but was watching when many history making things happened..

From Memory

1. I turned on the Lions/Saints game when Tom Dempseyt hit the 63 yard kick to win the game. I had just turned it on after watching the end of the Vikings game that day. Everyone made such a big deal that this disabled guy set the record., I thought he had an unfair advantage.

2. Watched the "Heidi bowl" game

3. Watched the game that was with the Raiders where they fumbled the ball forward at the end of the game for a touchdown resulting in a rule change for the next year.

4. Watched the Bay area series when the earthquake hit.

5. Bartman,  Need I say more?

6. Wathed the famous Joe Pisarchik fumble, Giants had the game won he decides to try a handoff wather than fall on the ball for the win, he fumbles and the Eagles run it in for the win.
