Hello all,

The union nut connecting to the top of my Watkins Wavemaster 9000 is cracked.

Can any of you pro's provide some tips on replacing this bad boy?  There is very little exposed PVC piping above the union and I'm affraid that if I cut it off, there won't be enough piping left to glue on a new one.

Here are a couple of pics

Help!

Thanks  :)

Check with your dealer and see if he has (or can order) a split ring. It comes in two halves so you can slip it over the hose in place of the cracked ring you now have and you then screw the two halves together. Hopefully you understand what I mean, simple fix but be careful that you don't overtighten the new ring. Don't go get a pair of huge channel locks and crank on it or you'll be buying another.

I'll have Dr. Spa post a picture for you.

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
