Why they call it FEDUP
« on: June 17, 2008, 06:29:34 pm »
I have had such bad experience with FedEx...On May 29th, I ordered a solar cover for my pool from an internet merchant. It shipped on June 6th and I was able to track it until June 9th. The last tracking city was Lewisberry Pa, which is about 95 miles from my house..Well this morning, FED EX told me it is on the truck for delivery. Since the nights have really cooled down, I want the darn cover...When it didn't arrive today, I called the  company that I ordered from..and they were advised by Fed Ex that they will have to do a "driver check" which can take 72 hours because the item is lost.  This is the 4th time that I have had an experience like this with FED Ex... I informed the merchant that I will not purchase from them again if they ship FED EX...and I really mean it. Sadly internet merchants are at the mercy of the shippers, but they do have choices.  >:( >:(  And now I know why everyone calls it FED UP!! ;D

Sounds like my experience with DHL.  Once a driver was across the street from our house (our neighborhood has names in our front yards so it isn't easy to miss anyone) and this 'goobler' goes to the house across the street which was under construction and tried to deliver it.  Fortunately the builder told the driver it was the wrong house and not to leave it in the driveway.  We finally got the delivery a week later. >:(

I've never had a problem with them, you must have some goobers working at your facility.

I've never had a problem with FedEx via personal or business matters.  However my company just switched from FedEx to DHL, and it's been a nightmare.

So they have shipped a new cover that will take 7 to 10 business days to arrive. By then, I won't even need or want the darn thing.
I sent my nephew something for Christmas, purchased it early and he got it January 15th..It was on a truck contracted by Fed Ex..that had broken down (guess they never unloaded the shipments). They are the worst  >:( >:( >:(

Hubby works for UPS.  He knows many Fed Ex employees--one of them a driver coming over to UPS---and Fed Ex Drivers actually OWN and SERVICE and LOAD thier own trucks.  Maybe that is part of the problem.  UPS expects thier drivers to be speedy and punctual.  They are ball-busters, but I guess that is why they have a better rep than FedUp.

My solar cover is still not here...This time they shipped from the manufacturer and I can't track it. I will never order from this company again and it is all because they use Fed Ex.  I have always had better luck with UPS.
