What do you guys do when you go on a weeks vacation? Do you have someone come in and add some chem's or let it sit and hope for the best? Would using an N2 cartridge be beneficial while you're gone?

I just put in 4 oz of shock before i left for vacation. When I got back a week later it was fine.

Add a small amount of chlorine to your tub for 3 or 4 days prior to leaving. Don't add a lot, you just want to build up a small residual amount of chlorine. Then the day you leave add a tablespoonful and run jets with the cover open to allow it to off-gas. Close it up and buckle the tie down straps and you should be all set for a week. When you get back you will want to shock and add chlorine again.
Have a good trip

I also turn the temp down, not so much to save energy, but hot water goes bad faster than warm water.

I actually have a friend of mine check my levels twice a week while I am gone. It's a "Win...Win" deal for both of us as she will use the hot tub while I am gone and does not mind checking on the house for me as well :-)
