Snowing last night, clear tonight.  Either night would have been an astronomical spa night!  Now if I only had a spa.  Hopefully putting a down payment on one in the next month, but we won't have it delivered until the fall (gotta landscape and run wiring).

Don't rub in the astronomical spa encounter too much or I may have to come raid your spa ;D

Cleared up! We are enjoying the view now as the moon comes back. (Penumbra).

We didn't get to see much red/orange, but it sure is nice right now. We are actually looking at it through a hole in the clouds.

 8-)

We got lucky and had a clear evening.   It was more of a brown for us than the sometimes red.

Living near 3 mile island, doesn't the moon usually glow red there?

Ended up being a nice clear night with plenty of stars and a great view of the lunar eclipse.  Enjoyed it very much sitting in the tub with the Mrs drinking a couple lagers with a sprinkling of snow on the ground.  Couldn't be bothered taking any pics though.

The moon is not red, but it is why we're opting not to add extra lighting...everyone's already lit here ;)
