I used to use People PC before I went broadband. They were inexpensive, and as long as I didn't have to deal with their customer service people, I was OK. Not great, but OK.
Most technology companies outsource their customer service to India, or similar.
Many of them are finding out that it's not the money saving bonanza they thought.
Get this- demand for skilled people in India is driving up the price of their services.
In the beginning, you could get labor for about 90% cheaper than comparable in the US. Now it's more like 25% less- the margin is quickly disappearing. Now Turkey is becoming the new India- their labor is cheaper.
