Which Chemicals?

Just wondering the brand of chemicals you guys prefer or what brands the dealers sell.  I've always bought HotSpring Freshwater chems, but I know there are others out there like Rendesvous, Leisure Time, etc.   Is one better than the other?

I've always liked SpaGuard / BioGuard products. When it comes to pucks for pools and spas, most of the products sold at the dealer level are much higher quality (hydraulically compressed) than the crap at dept stores (which fall apart). There are identical products with differing names though when it comes to most balancing products...

The key is dealer support IMO with water analysis and recommendations from people that generally have a keen understanding of watercare.

Many brands are the identical compounds in branded bottles.  There can be subtle differences, such as the grind, but sodium dichlor is sodium dichlor, buffered MPS is buffered MPS and so on.

There are different types of bromine products.
