My pool's stains ... update
« on: July 27, 2007, 04:57:52 pm »
Well, I finaly got around to doing something about the stain and I used this product from "in the swim" called ez stain remover. I don't know what was in it but it worked (seemed to be acid based). It has you drop the PH to 7.0 and have 0 chlorine but after it was in overnight my stains were mostly gone, I'd say to the tune of 98% or better.

The only thing that I didn't know and I'm passing along to you is that the chlorine that I added was used up neutralizing the product so the pool was without chlorine for a few days  :-[ until I tested my pool. Keep that in mind if anyone ever uses a product like that. I added an aweful lot of chlorine to neutralize it before chlorine showed up on the kit.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Vinny, do you have a gunite pool?
2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

No, I have an above ground pool. I'm not really a pool person and we put the pool in for the kids.
