I think it is a fair price. I wouldn't want to sell for less.   To the general public (not forum members) this would seem like a fair price.

You must remember, forum people are NOT the run-of-the-mill hot tub prospect.

How much ....ballpark....did they pay for this tub in 2004?

They claim to pay $10,000 in 2004 but $6000 for a used tub is high since you're not buying from a dealer or getting a warranty. I also would have problems with the fact its not running ... possibly could not be able to run. I think that's the biggest problem with buying these types of things, once you get it you better keep it or else be prepared for losing a lot of money.

I agree forum people are not the run of the mill and of course some people buy spas from public storage facilities, something I really don't understand

I can believe they may paid over $10k with the accessories and taxes. They're then saying it has been used little and is in similar shape to when they bought it and while logically you'd think something would hold 60% of it's value based on that there is that dirty old phrase "spa depreciation". Maybe that $6k is their negotiating point.

Actually I guess there are alot of hot tubs for sale on
CraigsList.com in every major city.

I am more and more impressed with CraigsList.com as an alternative
to E-bay for buying & selling used local large items that make shipping
via e-Bay not practical.

Or if you need something used real quick...like I am having a New Year's Eve Party and wanted some beer signs/banners for inside my garage where the poker game will be....I waited too late for e-bay...but got some items today off the Dallas CraigsList and already have picked them up for the party this weekend.

Although I don't understand how CraigsList makes any money
because the ads are free.
