I've Never Seen this Before....

and I thought it was pretty cool.

I went to do a start-up for one of my customers this morning.  He has a HotSpring Jetsetter installed in the floor of a room in his townhouse:


There are skylights so he can look at the stars:


He has a removable floor section to gain access to the equipment area:


The contractor installed a pump so that he can drain the spa via a button on the Everwood cabinet:



The water level is constantly maintained via a toilet floater in the filter area:


I thought it was slicker than snot!  Plus, he had a couple of 1870 Colt SAA Revolvers that he let me fondle.  It's fun when I get to actually go out and see the spas I've sold!

I like the drain pump idea. And the float? ok. It's not like I am constantly filling up my tub, but that's an intersting application.

 I agree on the room size. But hey,  using what you got, he did a interesting job.

Looks a little claustrophobic to me...

It's not that bad.  The inmates get used to it after awhile.  Not only do they get a hot tub in their cell nowadays, they get a Hot Spring Jetsetter none the less!!!! Jails don't skimp on anything.  Nothing but the best for the best baby

I sold a house once that had a hot tub set up in a location much like that.  The problem was after time the moisture created horrible mold and mildew.  Not only that, there was terrible rotting, because the materials on the house were not meant to be exposed to so much moisture.  The ceiling actually caved in.

As far as being sunken, we thought about doing that then changed our minds, because falling on top of it was a concern.  Also, you know there is always some knuckle head that may try to use the top as a seat.
