Wife's new toy...
« on: June 01, 2007, 12:14:56 pm »

The first convertable we've ever owned. Here in Alberta, we're looking forward to the 6 days a year we can have the top down! ;)

Anyone owned a VW before?

Cute babe Steve....... Got a pic of your wife?
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Seeing that line reminded me of an incident I was in last summer.
The lady who cuts my hair is fairly attractive, looks good in a tube top and has a great sense of humor.  Plus she drives a corvette  (I think) that has the T-top.

I was in getting a cut and mentioned that I had seen her on the road the previous week heading in the opposite direction.  She asked where about we were, the day, time of day etc.  Then she said, 'did I have my top down?'  I told her I didn't notice but the 'roof was off'.  She caught on quick what I was refering to and damned near cut my ear off. ;D ;D ;D ;)

Hope your wife is careful how she phrases her rides. :-[

LOL.. thanks all.

Yep, it's gas Brewman. A 1.8 Turbo and it moves like stink! It's like driving a really quick go-cart! :o

My wife couldn't make it so I found "her" to pose for the pic Doc! ;)

And yes Chad... there's a few of "us" on this forum... :)

She did consider a Jeep as well but it was far more complicated than pushing a button to retract the top. A little rougher ride and she wanted an automatic which made the challenge of finding a Jeep she liked more difficult.
