Water temp?

My Vanguard seems to heat up after draining the tub and filling really fast. It goes from cold tap water temperature to 98-99 in about 3 hours.

Fall, Winter & Spring: 101° F
Summer: Depending on current temp & humidity - 95° to 99° F

Right now, it's back up to 101° F and that's where it will stay until next summer.

How big of a heater does your tub have that will heat it 3-4 degrees in the time it takes to put on a suit and fix a drink?

When you change temps for different people - "she gets out & I crank it up...", how long does it take to go from 99 - 102?

Does having all the pumps on make it heat a lot faster than just the recirculating pump?

From it's initial fill yesterday, water seemed to heat about 4 - 5^o per hour, so that would be about 1^o every 15 min or so.  That would make it kind of a PITA to change for different people.

I've never timed it, but with the heated water coming in, it already "feels" warmer, so even though I may not be at full temp, I get the effect of it.  However, I'd say it doesn't take very long to go from 100 to 102.  Of course, its hot here, so that helps.  I'm sure it would be different with the cover off in a cold climate.

101 is a good temp, anything over 104 (Ie, UL1, UL2, etc....)  you could cook neckbones and collard greens in there. HAHAHA

I'm just coming out of the summer setting. I put it at 95 for August. As August was winding down, every week or so, I would up it a degree. We had it at 103 for most of the winter, but that is my choice. My duaghter likes it at 100, my wife is 101, but I use it the most so I set it for what I like
IMy HS Grandee really heats up quick, so in the middle of February, my daughter can drop the temp, keep the cover open and get it where she wants. If she gets it back up to what I want, and that is a bi"if", I can be back in an hour later at 102.
