Ok kids need some help!
« on: May 02, 2006, 02:04:27 pm »
I'm switching from Bromine to Chlorine due to the fact it seems my husband has developed what looks like some form of exema on his legs and torso. Spa dealer proposed changing to Chlorine. soooo......here is my question!

Do I need to flush out the entire system? I know I need to make sure feeder is clean of all bromine and clean filters and do a through cleaning with my spa cleaner but do I need to flush the jets too????

I'm glad ya'll are here for questions like mine (dumb ones !!! ) LOL

Yes...definately yes.

I suggest buying a new spa, just to be sure.   ;D

If you let your bromine levels drop down to zippo, then drain and re-fill with fresh water that should be enough.  If you want to be "Super High End Sure" you can run the jets for a while then drain and re-fill again.
Measure once, cut twice.

Whoa, did you say chlorine tabs?  Trichlor tabs should never be used in Hot water, unless you need some stainless steel eaten or something.

Agreed.  Do not use chlorine tabs.  Yes, you should superchlorinate.  dose your spa have an ozone system?

Sounds like your dealers service dept is slow/ or they want to sell you a new spa soon.
Give them the tabs and the spa shock back and exchange it for more dichlor.

Just how old ARE you?

Your avatar says you are the oldest dealer in New England....

So I was just curious.

My Hotsprings dealer (also in N.E) is in his 50's.

He's much older than you.   What are you trying to pull here?

wow, I'm with Drew on this one.

I know many HotSpring dealers who are older than that.

Why even my wife is, uh, never mind.

Forget the whole thing.

So you meant "oldest Dealership."

Ok.
