Water Care Question
« on: February 03, 2006, 12:24:39 pm »
I drained and refilled my tub about 3 weeks ago.  The water is crystal clear.  I just tested using a Taylor test kit and everything looks good but the PH is high, about 7.8 or 8.0.  I verified it uses test strips.  The TA looks good at about 100 and calcium hardness looks okay.  The chlorine level also looks good, I still get a reading after adding 2 teaspoons last night after use.

I use N2 and Dichlor for water care.

The question is, should I mess with the PH and try to bring it down? I don't want to over manage the water.

Thanks,

Mark

I'd leave it for a couple of days Mark and then retest. It should come down naturally at this point.

Steve,

Last Saturday the PH was good at about 7.4.  It seems to have gone up.

Thanks,

Mark
