Which Artesian series do you have and do you have the circ pump option? The Island series can be bought without the circ pump but the Platinum and Gold come standard with it.
The only thing that runs in all three series with the circ pump is the ozone during a "filter" cycle. The owners manual tell you how to set the filter time on all three series - I would think that if you don't have a circ pump then filtering should be 4 hours (2 & 2) a day as a starting point.
