To dilute or not to dilute. That is the question?

My local dealer says that it is OK to add chemicals to the tub without first diluting in water. However the instructions on the chemical pt say to dilute in water first.

What do you all do?

I pour mine into the middle of the tub and run the jets on low for a few minutes. Then I look to see if I spilled any on the surface of the near where I stand.

I cant think of a chemical that would absolutely need to be diluted into a spa.  It is important for a vinyl liner pool to not have solid chemicals come in contact but spa shells are diff.
I say "NOT" to the original question.
Measure once, cut twice.

The only one you 'might' consider dissolving before applying may be dry acid...... 8)

Soft tubs or spas with like liners do require diluting of the chemicals.  Otherwise, put jet pump on high and broadcast the chemicals into the water.
