finally....It's my turn to say....

I'm leaving on vacation to Costa  Rica. I'll be back in a week. 8)  Anyone ever been?

In the meanwhile someone (Brook, I'm looking in your direction)  make sure Term get's his finger looked at, or at least find out where he gets those wonderful pics so we'll be able to continue to post, if his bite gets worse and things take a turn for the worse.    ;)

enjoy your trip. ive never been to costa rica, but have had freinds say they loved it. even with all the strange, poisinous creatures they found crawling on the floor of their 5 star hotel  ;D

just kidding, it was only a 4 star ;)

have fun and bring back some pictures.

surfing is good. but alot of people need a good amount of time just to stand. its a blast if you have the patients/time. but for a quick (i mean little/no instruction) go with the jet ski's.  some are 60mph... and thats a rush. nice thing is, if you fall of, NO road rash ;D

I'm back and all I can say is....WOW.  :D

Best.vacation. ever.

We didn't surf (although there were quite a few folks in the airport with boards).  There werre also quite a few sport fisherman going to C.R as well.

We went more the luxary, relaxation route than the sport route.

We stayed in the North West coast  on the PapaGayo gulf at the Grand Papagayo resort.

The weater was great (90 and sunny). The resort was 5 star. the locals were wonderful.

Some of the highlights:

Jungle Canpoy zip lines,  Volcanic mud baths (and natural hot springs and sauna), horseback riding, snorkeling, massages on the beach, river tour (crocidiles, iguanas, birds, ) some shopiing, lots of drinks, great food,  siesta's on the hammoks, relaxing by the pool, on the beach, monkeys, crusing around the gulf in a yacht.... personal hand rolled cigars....I could go on and on.  8)

anyhow,  I hope everyone had a great week....

Glad you made it back and that you had a wonderful time free from headhunters, cannibals, and drug lords that frequent that part of the world.  I've heard that Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  Did you get a chance to visit Isla Nubar and see the dinosaurs?

It was difficult to find an expericed guide to take us to Ilsa Nubar, but we did make it over to Ilsa Sorna wich was very exctiing.   8)

No canibals, or head hunters,  just Tico's  (locals) who are the nicest people I've ever met on vacation. And no drug lords either....  ::)
