Please help me - filling new tub questions
« on: May 12, 2017, 06:43:05 am »
Good morning! We just received our hot tub the other day. The company was supposed to come and show us how to do the chemicals and such but the electrician rescheduled so they rescheduled. However I was told I have to fill the hot tub this morning before the electrician comes. I have a Caldera Vanto.  I put the hose in the filter area  (under the cap)  and the water started coming out one of the bottom vent. As the water was coming in, so was debris. There is not a lot, but enough that I want to get it out before continuing to fill the tub. Is this normal? How do I drain it? Thank you.

There is a thing that you can connect a hose to and drain the tub. It has a safety cap screwed in it you have to remove. Once you have that out the whole thing pulls out of the side about 2 inches. On my Caldera all the way out or all the way in shuts off the flow. Half way out it drains.

Thank you for responding. Do I have to unscrew the side panel to get to that? Thank you

On your tub you have to take the front panel off.  A submergable pump is easier if you have one

If you only have a little debris, spa will filter it out.
